The various department units work together „under one roof“ enabling a speedy diagnosis with the best possible therapy and patient follow-up.

All results of all patients are discussed within an interdisciplinary team – gynecologists, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, radiation therapists, psychologists – so that a collective evaluation can be made. The therapeutic recommendation, which is decided upon by all units, can then be made.  

This professional medical recommendation is then extensively discussed with the patient, allowing a cooperation that enables the patient to form an opinion, and which results in a mutual decision regarding the following procedure of treatment.

The high work standard at the Breast Center Villach is assured, i.e. test results are compared, the patient’s safety goal regularly controlled and met. Cross checks are also made, statistics collected and the according measures promptly taken. Furthermore, all standards are regularly controlled by means of our own indicators.

The Villach Regional Hospital has been accredited in accordance to the Joint Commission since 2003. Moreover, the Breast Center Villach was certified in the beginning of 2009.
